Audio & noise reduction
Keep the narration clear and supporting sounds in balance. Work on the recorded sources separately, then listen to the complete mix.
01Identify the recorded sources
Open your recording and listen to the microphone and system audio. A quiet voice, missing app sound, and duplicated sound have different causes; identify the source before changing settings.
Fancy Rec supports separate audio tracks. Use the audio controls for the recorded sources to check which track carries the sound you want to adjust.
02Balance voice and app sound
Make the narration easy to hear before adding emphasis to background or app sound. Use the available track volume controls, listening to the same passage after each change.
- Listen to a normal spoken sentence, then a louder one.
- Lower competing app sound when it masks the voice.
- Check pauses for background noise and unintended playback.
- Replay the complete mix with headphones and ordinary speakers if available.
03Apply noise reduction carefully
Use the noise reduction feature for a noisy recording, then compare the processed voice with the original. Fancy Rec provides local AI noise reduction.
Listen to consonants, sentence endings, and quiet words. If processing makes the voice sound unnatural, use less processing where controls allow, or improve the recording setup and make another take. Noise reduction cannot reliably repair every distorted or clipped recording.
04Solve common audio problems
For an echo, check whether speaker playback was captured again through the microphone. Record with headphones to avoid that path. For no narration, check the microphone selection and permission before making a new test.
If sound exists in the editor but not in the shared file, confirm that you exported a video format with audio: GIF is silent. Listen to the exported MP4 before uploading it.
