Zoom & focus
Use zoom to answer one question: where should the viewer look? Start with the generated movement, then refine the focus and pacing around your explanation.
01Review the automatic result
Record a short sequence with clicks and typing, then open it in the editor. Play the sequence before changing settings: note where the focus helps and where it hides useful context.
Judge each moment by its action and result. A click on a menu is not enough if the chosen option or resulting message disappears outside the frame.
02Choose the zoom behavior
Fancy Rec supports automatic zoom, mouse following, text cursor zoom, and manual zoom. Choose the behavior around what you want to explain; one style does not need to carry the entire recording.

03Refine a moment
Find the moment you want to improve in the editor and use the zoom controls to adjust its focus and emphasis. Preview before and after the change, including the transition into the wider view.
- Show enough of the interface for the viewer to recognize their position.
- Bring the relevant control or text closer during the explanation.
- Keep the result visible long enough to read.
- Return to a wider view when the task moves to another part of the interface.
04Fix a distracting zoom
If the frame moves too often, check for unrelated pointer movement and unnecessary actions. If important content is cropped, use a wider view. When a text field is hard to follow, test tracking in that specific app and use manual focus if the automatic result is unsuitable.
Preview at the size viewers will actually watch. Zoom cannot restore detail that was unreadable in the source recording.
